As RFID Account Manager and Business Consultant, Lauran D’hanis is the right person at the right place at Aucxis!

Expert in RFID technology

Holding 2 bachelors, one in Design and Production Technology and one in Technology Management, Lauran took his first steps within Aucxis 5 years ago. He was introduced to the fascinating world of RFID technology and after a thorough internal training, he started his career within our company as an Account Manager. His technological insight, analytical thinking and social skills allowed him to quickly become a business consultant who advises  prospects and customers on the application of RFID technology in their business processes.

Ambition and collegiality

Lauran is an enthusiastic and motivated person. He explains: “I am competitive but at the same time I have a very good relationship with my colleagues. I call this healthy competitiveness. The challenge of achieving sales targets stimulates me and gives me energy. You can compare it with team sports, where you aim for the same goal as a group but each individual makes optimum use of his own talent to achieve this goal.” Challenge, passion, respect and team spirit; Lauran completely agrees with these core values of Aucxis.

Satisfaction through challenge and variety

The main goal of his job as a Business Consultant is to find the most adequate solution for automation needs. How can RFID technology be used to optimise processes and save time and money? This is what Lauran finds the most attractive aspect of his job: analysing complex problems and working out solutions in cooperation with the Aucxis team of hardware and software architects. He clarifies: “No two projects are identical. Aucxis offers RFID solutions in various sectors, for different products, in often complex environments. Even a standard solution has specific research domains. Let’s take the RFID tag as an example. Which RFID tag is suitable for the product to be tagged? What are the environmental influences? Where should the RFID tag be placed for ideal reading? Which adhesive is suitable?”

He adds: “Now that Aucxis is gaining more brand awareness as an RFID specialist outside the Benelux and France, I was invited to introduce our solutions to interested companies in Egypt and New Zealand. These challenging experiences provide variety in the job; two features that are key motivators for me!”

Enjoy life

Lauran used to be an active Scouts member and played at Handball Club Waasmunster. These team contexts made him further develop his natural social skills. Lauran finds relaxation in the company of family and friends and in travelling. Sport remains a favourite pastime; whenever he has the time, he jumps on his bike. He also simply enjoys life; something we should all do as much as possible, he concludes. “After all, you never know what tomorrow will bring.”
