Summa RFID Asset Tracking

Summa is a manufacturer of innovative cutters, delivering solutions all over the world for products in the graphics, clothing and packaging industry. RFID Asset Tracking enables them to take their internal logistics to a higher level.

By using an RFID gate at the exit of the factory hall, all finished cutters are automatically read when they are transported to the warehouse. All transported machines are read in bulk, no manual scanning is required. The data is captured by the Aucxis HERTZ RFID Middleware and transferred to Summa’s ERP system. The valuable insights into the status of the assets allow customers to be timely informed about delivery times.

Summa has several RFID label printers and applies the RFID labels to the boxes of the finished products itself.

This RFID solution enables Summa to follow up its logistic process faster and more efficiently. Automatic detection and control provide real-time insights and significantly reduce the error margin in administration.
